Club Championship

We play an Annual Club Championship from October to June. We use League time limits and rules

Regular Rapidplay Tournaments

We also play regular Rapidplay Tournaments.

Norfolk Chess League

Lowestoft play in the Norfolk County Chess Association League. We play teams from Norwich, Wymondham, Kings Lynn and Martham, to name a few. If you are interested in improving your chess, playing in this League will do you no harm whatsoever!!
The move rate is to be thirty moves in the first hour and a quarter. After Black‘s 30th move has been completed, both the clocks are to be retarded 20 minutes for a quickplay finish.

Visits by IM's and GM's

We recently had IM Adam Hunt visit to give a simultaneous exhibition, this was a wonderful experience for the members, especially the juniors. We are hoping to invited more IM`s to the club in the future. Daniel played very well, just losing out in the end game.
